PCMHA U21 Division – Staying in the Game, Your Way
The U21 division offers young adults aged 18–20 a flexible and fulfilling way to continue playing the game they love while balancing school, work, or other life commitments. Aligned with Hockey Canada’s “Active for Life” stage of development, U21 hockey provides a space for players who want to remain active, connected, and competitive—on their own terms.
At PCMHA, the U21 program is designed to give players the opportunity to stay involved in organized hockey in a low-pressure, team-focused environment. Whether players are former Rep athletes, recreational skaters, or just passionate about the game, U21 is a place where all skill levels are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
Key features of the U21 program include:
- A balanced schedule that fits the lifestyle of older players juggling school, jobs, and other responsibilities
- Emphasis on sportsmanship, camaraderie, and team culture, with a focus on continuing to enjoy the game
- Flexible roster options that accommodate players who may be away for school or work intermittently
- Opportunity to mentor younger players and stay involved in the broader PCMHA community
- An inclusive atmosphere that prioritizes fun, fitness, and lifelong participation in hockey
The U21 division is often a player’s last step in minor hockey—and an important one. It keeps athletes connected to the game while supporting their growth as leaders, teammates, and contributors to their community.
PCMHA is proud to offer U21 hockey as a meaningful way for players to close out their minor hockey careers—or just keep skating because they love the game. PCMHA is proud to have our U21 program coached by long-time coaches and PCMHA Life Members Rich Evans and Phil Stanyer. A huge thank you to these incredible volunteers for their contribution!
