At Port Coquitlam Minor Hockey Association, we know that access to quality ice time is a crucial part of every player's development and overall hockey experience. Our ice allocation process is designed with fairness, development, and balance in mind, ensuring that all divisions and teams are supported throughout the season.
Ice time is allocated based on several factors, including division age group, team level (e.g., recreational or rep), Hockey Canada’s seasonal structure, and available City of Port Coquitlam arena hours. We work closely with local facilities to secure the best possible schedule and adjust throughout the year based on league play, tournaments, and development opportunities.
Our goal is to provide consistent, meaningful ice time that supports skill growth, team bonding, and a positive experience for all participants. We understand that ice availability is limited, and we appreciate your continued patience, support, and understanding as we work to make the most of every hour we receive.
As a member of the Port Coquitlam Sports Alliance, we’re part of a larger group of user groups working together to provide the very best experience for youth athletes in the City of Port Coquitlam.
Should you have any questions about ice allocation or scheduling, we're always happy to discuss and provide clarity.
